Beautiful Outdoor Livings Spaces
Stillbury designs and builds pergolas, pavilions, belvederes, cabanas, decks, and related timber structures around your home, your shade needs, and the way your family uses the yard.
Choose the structure that fits your yard.
Start with the structure you want: pergola, pavilion, Belvedere / Cabana, deck, arbor, trellis, breezeway, porte-cochere, gazebo, or a custom timber idea we should look at with you.

Stillbury comes from 25 years in carpentry and 18 years working directly with homeowners. Brian started by fabricating and raising structures other people designed. Over time, he took on the whole project: design, engineering, budget, permits, and installation.
- Design: 3D renderings and engineering
- Pricing: transparent scope and pricing integrity
- Project: structural integrity and permits
Brian and the Stillbury team
Carpenter-led design-build team
When you hire Stillbury, you get an accountable design-build team, and right now, you are hiring Brian's hands-on experience. The goal is simple: tell the truth, design clearly, and build the structure to last for decades.
Named timber styles, designed around real yards.

Florence Pergola
The Florence Pergola is Stillbury's open-roof shade style, shaped by curved corbel braces and a stronger traditional timber presence.

Loretta Pergola
The Loretta Pergola keeps the open-roof shade function with a cleaner profile: straight square-cut braces and quieter lines.

Measure first. Design clearly. Build once.
Measure the yard
We meet you at your home, take measurements, and learn how you want to use the space before recommending a structure.
Review the 3D design
We bring back a free 3D design and written quote, then walk through the structure, roof form, finish direction, and scope before anything is built.
Build what you approved
Permit questions, engineering, timber details, scheduling, installation, and cleanup stay with one accountable crew.

Answers to your most common questions.
Do not see your question below? Call us. We will tell you what we know, what needs to be checked, and what should wait for the design.
Do timber pergolas and pavilions need permits in Utah?
Many projects do require permit review, especially when footings, roof loads, or attachments are involved. Stillbury reviews the structure and local requirements before build work starts.
How long does a custom design-build project take?
Timeline depends on design complexity, permit review, weather, and material lead time. You'll see the expected sequence in writing before you commit to anything.
Are the Florence and Loretta sizes fixed?
No. Render sizes are examples only. Stillbury structures are custom-sized to the yard, house, use case, and code constraints.
How do these structures handle Utah weather?
The design process accounts for Utah sun, snow, wind exposure, footing needs, and the difference between open-roof pergolas and solid-roof pavilions.
What happens in the free 3D design and quote?
You tell us the structure type, your ZIP, and a little about the project. We use that to recommend a direction and prepare your 3D design and written quote.
Can I choose the timber finish?
The current renders show natural, unstained Douglas fir. Seven Behr exterior stain swatches are available as planning references until a specific build finish is confirmed.

The 3D design is free, the written quote comes with it, and the first step is a real conversation about your yard.
